Lots has been happening since the completion of first solos. After working in the circuit, all the cadets completed their dual cross country from St. Andrews to Woodlands to Morden to Steinbach South and then back to St. Andrews on July 23 and 24. Once that was out of the way, cadets began a week of intense preparation for the Transport Canada License Exam; finally after four weeks that’s out of the way! All the cadets performed exceptionally on the exam and are glad to be done that part of the course. While studying for the exam, cadets also had to plan their two solo cross countries. The short one was from St. Andrews to Lac Du Bonnet and then back, while the long one was the same route from the dual cross country (though cadets did have the option of doing the reverse path, the three cadets who went on Friday afternoon were unable to because of approaching weather). Now that the TC exam is finished, the cadets will begin preparing for their flight tests, which are coming soon.
